Requirements

Windows desktop and laptop

Generally laptops offer less power / performance than desktops at the same price. Laptops also limit expansion and upgrade options. Of course, laptops can be used but you need to have a specific requirement to be mobile with your music production / performance.

FL Studio works from Windows XP onwards. But 64-bit Windows 10, 64-bit Windows 8 or 64-bit Windows 7 is recommended.


CPU: *Intel: i9-9900K, i7-9700K and i7-8700K (and non-K variants) are prominent processors with: 1. 6 or more cores.
-Reasonable heat output ~ 95 W TDP and 4. Fast single core performance (this is extremely important).

-AMD - Ryzen 9 3900X, 7 3800X, 7 3700X and 5 3600X with their 12, 8, 8 and 6 cores now provide performance to compete with Intel in DAW usage scenarios. Especially now with very fast single thread speeds.

*Audio Interface (ASIO): Of almost equal importance to the CPU is that the sound card / supports the ASIO driver audio interface. ASIO is a standard driver software that allows direct FL Studio access to the audio interface instead of communicating via the Windows operating system (as with the standard Windows driver). This will have a significant performance advantage with FL Studio.
If the audio interface does not have a native ASIO driver, use FL Studio ASIO.

*RAM: probably 8 GB is sufficient. 16 GB is probably more than necessary. 32 GB is required only if you use many sample-based instruments, each with Multi-GB orchestral libraries and ROMpler-style plug-ins.

*Video Card: Opt for a video card with two DVI or a combination of DVI + HDMI + Display Port outputs. This will allow you to run two video monitors. The FL Studio workflow has improved significantly with two (or more) video monitors.


1. Go to the  "FL Studio Producer Edition v20.8.3 (Build 2304 64 Bit) + Portable [Eng]" folder
and then choose whether to start the classic installation or the Portable one. For the Portable version, extract the rar files where you want most, being careful not to move or rename the folder otherwise the program will no longer work. If you opt for the normal installation of the Software, proceed as follows:


*If you had already installed a previously version of FL studio then first run the REMOVE_FLStudio_License.reg file to remove the registry key and confirm.


Now launch "flstudio_win_20.8.3.2304" and install the program


Leave the various items selected and start the installation.
It will ask you to install the asio audio drivers

At the end of the installation, run "FLRegKey_20.8.reg" and add the new key to the registry

Now you can launch Fl studio


* Lock the program inside the Firewall.
* Do not open "Online Panel".
* Do not make updates to the program.

This applies to both the Installer and the Portable
